| Have you heard the term, Web 2.0? If not, trust us, you will. Soon. Very soon.
Web 2.0 is the term used to describe a friendlier, easier-to-use World Wide Web. Web 2.0 is all about Gen Y, because Web 2.0 is about an improved form of the Web, or the shifting away from one-way, read-write communication to technologies such as, blogs, social bookmarking, wikis, podcasts and RSS feeds that allow for open source, many-to-many publishing.
Essentially, Web 2.0 has created a “global conversation” in which we all can participate. And Gen Y does. Boy, do they! Just know that Web 2.0 is all about genuine, Web-based interactivity where Gen Ys can upload and share information, as well as download content. Basically, Web 2.0 allows all Web users to generate and distribute their own content online—a very common practice among Gen Y.
